KATIA

KATIA is an innovative contemporary artist known for her multidisciplinary approach that seamlessly blends painting, sculpture, and new media. Born in Mexico City and currently based in Berlin, KATIA’s work explores themes of identity, transformation, and cultural memory through bold color palettes and dynamic compositions. She studied Fine Arts at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México before earning her MFA from the Berlin University of the Arts.

KATIA’s installations and canvases have been exhibited internationally, with solo and group shows in cities such as New York, Paris, and São Paulo. Her artistic practice is deeply informed by both her Latin American heritage and her experiences in Europe, resulting in a unique visual language that bridges cultural divides. Through her evolving body of work, KATIA strives to provoke dialogue about migration, hybridity, and the interconnectedness of global narratives.
