Jupiter Gatling

Jupiter Gatling is a multidisciplinary artist whose work blends elements of science fiction, Afro-Futurism, and experimental media. Drawing inspiration from cosmology, vintage technology, and confrontational urban narratives, Gatling crafts immersive installations, bold sculptures, and vibrant mixed-media paintings that challenge perceptions of identity and time. After studying visual arts and digital production in New York, Gatling began exhibiting in underground galleries and community spaces before gaining international attention through major group exhibitions in Berlin, Tokyo, and Lagos.

Their practice explores the intersections of futuristic imagination and ancestral memory, using salvaged materials and digital processes to evoke both nostalgia and possibility. Gatling is deeply committed to community engagement, frequently leading workshops and collaborative public art projects that invite audiences to imagine new worlds. Their work has been featured in numerous publications, and they were recently named a recipient of the Marsden Innovation Grant for groundbreaking achievement in contemporary art.
