Jacques Janzen

Jacques Janzen is a contemporary Dutch artist known for his evocative use of color and texture to explore themes of memory, landscape, and the passage of time. Born in Rotterdam in 1979, Janzen developed an early interest in visual storytelling, influenced by the rich artistic heritage of the Netherlands and the changing urban landscapes of his hometown. After earning a degree in Fine Arts from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, he began exhibiting his work in local galleries, quickly gaining recognition for his distinctive approach that blends elements of abstraction and realism.

Janzen’s paintings often feature layered surfaces and subtle tonal shifts, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a contemplative experience. Over the past two decades, his work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe, and he has participated in several international artist residencies.
