Heron Preston is an American artist, designer, and DJ known for his influential role in contemporary streetwear culture. Born in San Francisco in 1983, Preston attended Parsons School of Design in New York City, where he honed his creative vision. Gaining early recognition as a founding member of the DJ and design collective Been Trill, Preston later collaborated with brands like Nike and Kanye West’s creative team, contributing to the YEEZY and Life of Pablo projects. In 2016, he launched his eponymous label, Heron Preston, which quickly became noted for its distinctive use of Cyrillic text, reference to workwear, and experiments with sustainable practices, including a widely acclaimed collaboration with the NYC Department of Sanitation.
