Robbert van de Corput, better known as Hardwell, was born on January 7, 1988, in Breda, Netherlands. Showing an early interest in music, he began learning piano at age four and started DJing by the age of 12. His rise to prominence began in his late teens with energetic dance tracks and electrifying remix work.

Hardwell’s signature sound blends big room house, electro, and progressive styles, with his breakthrough single "Spaceman" becoming an anthem in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene. Hardwell’s success was amplified by his globally syndicated radio show “Hardwell On Air” and his impactful live sets at international festivals, including headline performances at Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and his annual I AM Hardwell world tours.
