Felix Cornelsen

Felix Cornelsen is a Berlin-based artist whose practice traverses the boundaries between sculpture, photography, and installation art. Born in 1991 in Düsseldorf, Germany, Cornelsen developed an early fascination with the interplay of light, material, and spatial perception. He studied Fine Arts at the Berlin University of the Arts, graduating in 2016, and since then has exhibited his works in galleries and project spaces across Europe, including shows at Kunstverein Hamburg and Fondation Suisse.

Cornelsen’s artistic process engages with concepts of urban transformation, memory, and the residue of human activity, often recontextualizing discarded industrial materials and found objects into poetic, minimalist compositions. Through a keen sensitivity to texture and form, his works invite viewers to reconsider the overlooked details of everyday environments. Cornelsen has received several grants, including a Kulturstiftung des Bundes fellowship, and his work is held in both private and public collections.

Currently, he continues to live and work in Berlin, expanding his interdisciplinary practice and contributing to collaborative public art initiatives.
