DJ Qu

Born and raised in New Jersey, DJ Qu (real name Ramon Lisandro Quezada) emerged as a key figure in the deeper side of house and techno. He began his musical journey as a dancer, immersing himself in the local scene during the 1990s before transitioning behind the decks in the early 2000s. DJ Qu’s sound is marked by an understated yet undeniably raw approach to rhythm, rooted in his background in the New York and New Jersey club cultures.

In 2005, he founded his own label, Strength Music Recordings, which has become a platform for both his own productions and those of like-minded artists. Known for his hypnotic DJ sets and deeply textured productions, DJ Qu has released on respected labels such as Underground Quality and Sound Signature, and has performed at celebrated venues and festivals across the world, including Berghain, Panorama Bar, and Output. Throughout his career, DJ Qu has maintained a committed focus on the dancefloor, crafting music that bridges the past and present of house music while continuing to push its creative boundaries.
