DJ Moonbeam

Hailing from Saint Petersburg, Russia, DJ Moonbeam is the enigmatic alter ego of brothers Pavel Khvaleev and Vitaly Khvaleev. Since their emergence on the global dance music scene in 2003, Moonbeam has developed a signature sound blending progressive house, melodic techno, and trance influences, marked by haunting melodies and cinematic atmospheres. Over the years, they garnered international acclaim through their evocative productions on top labels such as Black Hole Recordings, Armada Music, and their own label, Moonbeam Digital.

Moonbeam’s reputation grew with chart-topping singles and remixes for prominent artists including Markus Schulz, Armin van Buuren, and Tiësto. Noted for collaborating with vocalists like Avis Vox and Pryce Oliver, the duo’s music has become synonymous with both emotional depth and dancefloor appeal. Their albums—such as “Around the World” (2010), “The Secret” (2011), and “The Random” (2014)—received critical praise for their genre-defying approach and cinematic flair.

In addition to their prolific music career, Moonbeam made a mark with their foray into filmmaking, most notably with the award-winning 2013 feature film “The Random,” for which they produced the soundtrack. Their complex live shows, featuring immersive multimedia elements and striking visual narratives, have captivated audience worldwide, from Tomorrowland to Global Gathering. Though Vitaly Khvaleev stepped away from the project in 2016, Pavel has continued the Moonbeam legacy, evolving the sound while maintaining the emotional resonance and sophisticated production that defines the project.

Today, Moonbeam stands as one of Russia’s most innovative and enduring electronic artists, continuously pushing the boundaries of dance music and audiovisual art.
