Hailing from Nairobi, Kenya, CHARMUR is a genre-blending DJ and producer known for electrifying sets that traverse the landscapes of Afro-house, amapiano, and global dance music. Since his debut on the Nairobi underground scene in 2017, CHARMUR has developed a reputation for seamlessly fusing deep, soul-stirring African rhythms with contemporary club sounds, creating an unmistakable energy on dance floors wherever he plays. Drawing inspiration from city life and East Africa’s vibrant sonic heritage, CHARMUR crafts immersive experiences that move crowds with both familiar beats and fresh, experimental sounds.

His monthly residency at The Alchemist has quickly become a staple of Nairobi’s nightlife, earning him recognition alongside some of Africa’s top electronic acts. In 2021, CHARMUR released his first mix series, “Midnight Safari,” which was featured on international radio stations and received acclaim for its bold, cross-continental approach. He has shared stages with notable DJs such as Msaki, SURAJ, and Da Capo, and performed at festivals including Nyege Nyege (Uganda) and Afro Nation.
