Captain Planet is the musical alias of Los Angeles-based producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Wilder. Drawing inspiration from a diverse mix of global rhythms, soulful grooves, and electronic beats, Captain Planet’s sound is a vibrant fusion of world music influences with hip-hop, funk, soul, and house. Since the release of his debut "Gumbo Funk" EP in 2005, Wilder has gained international acclaim for his genre-blending productions, dynamic live shows, and signature “gumbo funk” style, which weaves together sounds from Latin America, Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond.

His critically praised albums, including "Cookin’ Gumbo," "Esperanto Slang," and "No Visa," have been featured in films, commercials, and TV shows, reflecting his ability to cross musical and cultural boundaries.
