Born Adam Richard Wiles on January 17, 1984, in Dumfries, Scotland, Calvin Harris began his musical journey producing electronic music from his bedroom as a teenager. After releasing early tracks online and garnering attention on MySpace, Harris secured a deal with EMI and Sony BMG. His debut album, *I Created Disco* (2007), featured the hits "Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls," propelling him into the UK electronic and pop scenes.

Harris solidified his reputation with follow-up albums *Ready for the Weekend* (2009) and *18 Months* (2012), the latter earning international acclaim with singles like "Feel So Close," "Sweet Nothing" (featuring Florence Welch), and the global smash "We Found Love" (with Rihanna).
