Ari Jani

Ari Jani is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, and mixed media installations. Born in 1991 in Toronto, Canada, Jani’s artistic journey began in childhood, nurtured by a family deeply involved in music and literature. After obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts from OCAD University in 2014, Jani quickly established a signature style characterized by layered textures, fragmented figures, and a nuanced exploration of memory and identity.

Drawing inspiration from both urban landscapes and personal histories, Jani’s art confronts themes of displacement, longing, and belonging, often incorporating found objects and organic materials. Their work has been exhibited in galleries across North America and Europe, earning critical acclaim for its emotional intensity and innovative use of form. In addition to their studio practice, Jani is an active advocate for community arts education, facilitating workshops and collaborative projects aimed at empowering marginalized voices.
