ALISA FILATOVA

Alisa Filatova is a contemporary visual artist whose work explores the intersection of memory, identity, and the natural world. Born in 1988 in Kyiv, Ukraine, Filatova developed an early fascination with the interplay of light and form, which would later become central themes in her practice. After graduating from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv, she continued her education in Berlin, where exposure to diverse artistic traditions deepened her interest in cross-cultural narratives.

Filatova works in a variety of media, including painting, installation, and photography, often layering organic materials such as fabric, wood, and found objects to create multidimensional compositions that evoke landscapes both real and imagined. Her exhibitions across Europe have earned her recognition for her innovative approach to texture and color, as well as for her ability to invoke a sense of nostalgia and place. Through her art, Filatova invites viewers to contemplate the ways in which personal and collective histories are intertwined, leaving a lasting impression of fragility, resilience, and transformation.
