On Sunday, August 24, 2025, Proper Fest returns to the sprawling grounds of Weeley Carboot Site on Colchester Road, Co16 9AG, taking over the Essex countryside for a full-spectrum celebration of dance music heritage and forward momentum. The all-day event’s lineup pulls together a heavyweight cast of UK icons and foundational artists. Slipmatt brings his breakbeat and rave energy, joined by Tall Paul and Alex P—key architects of the classic house sound.

Seb Fontaine continues the legacy with deep grooves, while Nicky Blackmarket and DJ Hype inject fresh urgency with jungle and drum & bass. Heist and DJ SS each represent the cutting edge of club culture, keeping the rotations relentless across the site's custom sound rigs. Garage and UK funky also have their moment as Ray Hurley and Pied Piper team up, with Lisa Maffia and Romeo combining vocal power and South London attitude.

Charlie B and Danny Clockwork round out a bill rooted in the evolution of rave’s many forms, promising a 360-degree journey from late-’80s beginnings to the present tense.
