Zopelar

Zopelar is a DJ, producer, and musician from São Paulo, Brazil, celebrated for his genre-blurring approach to electronic music. With a background rooted in jazz and funk, Zopelar’s productions fluidly traverse house, techno, electro, and the experimental fringes of club music, marked by warm synths, intricate rhythms, and a palpable sense of groove. A prominent figure in the vibrant São Paulo scene, he is a co-founder of the collective and record label In Their Feelings, supporting local talent and fostering creative collaborations.

Alongside a prolific solo career—releasing on respected imprints such as Apron Records, Soul Clap, and Tartelet—Zopelar is also known for his work with projects like My Girlfriend and forming part of the pair Teto Preto, whose politically-charged performances have left their mark both in Brazil and internationally. Renowned for dynamic live sets and DJ performances, Zopelar continues to push boundaries, connecting Brazilian musical heritage with contemporary global club sounds.
