Yen Sung

Yen Sung is a pioneering DJ and producer hailing from Lisbon, Portugal, renowned for her innovative influence on the country’s electronic music scene. Born to Cape Verdean parents, Yen Sung began her career in the 1990s, quickly establishing herself as a vital figure at the legendary Lux Frágil, one of Lisbon’s most celebrated nightclubs, where she continues to hold a residency. Her eclectic sets seamlessly weave together elements of house, techno, hip hop, and global rhythms, reflecting both her multicultural heritage and her deep musical knowledge.

In addition to her DJing, Yen Sung has contributed to Portugal’s music landscape as a member of the groundbreaking hip hop group Da Weasel and as a co-founder of Enchufada, the influential label launched alongside Branko and other members of Buraka Som Sistema. Over the years, she has played at prominent venues and festivals across Europe, championing both local talent and international sounds, and is widely respected as a trailblazer who helped shape the contemporary Portuguese club culture.
