Years of Denial

Years of Denial is the electronic music project of French producer and vocalist Barkosina Hanusova and Czech producer Jerome Tcherneyan. Formed in 2016 and based in Berlin, the duo merges industrial techno, EBM, post-punk, and darkwave into a deeply atmospheric and emotionally charged sound. Drawing inspiration from the raw energy of the underground club scene, as well as their backgrounds in performance and fine arts, Years of Denial stand out for Hanusova’s haunting, poetic vocals and Tcherneyan’s driving, analog-heavy productions.

Their music explores themes of alienation, desire, and existential dread, confronting the listener with both vulnerability and intensity. Over the years, the pair has released on acclaimed labels such as Veyl, Pinkman, and Death & Leisure, earning a loyal following through their powerful live performances across international festivals and avant-garde venues. With a distinct aesthetic that echoes both the past and the speculative future, Years of Denial continue to innovate within the realm of dark electronic music, forging a unique sonic identity that is both mesmerizing and uncompromising.
