Yanling

Yanling is a multidisciplinary artist celebrated for her evocative fusion of traditional techniques and contemporary themes. Drawing inspiration from her Chinese heritage as well as her experiences living across continents, Yanling’s practice explores the intersections of memory, nature, and cultural identity. Her work often incorporates gentle washes of ink, delicate textiles, and experimental photography, resulting in immersive pieces that invite introspection.

Since receiving her MFA from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, Yanling has exhibited internationally in venues such as the Shanghai Contemporary Art Museum, the Tate Modern, and various independent spaces in Berlin and New York. Yanling’s approach, rooted in both conceptual rigor and emotive expression, negotiates the boundaries between personal narrative and universal resonance. Through workshops and collaborations, she remains deeply invested in nurturing creative communities and expanding dialogue between Eastern and Western artistic traditions.
