XuLü

XuLü is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist recognized for a practice that traverses painting, installation, and digital media. Born in China and currently based in Berlin, XuLü’s work is rooted in inquiries about memory, identity, and the interplay between personal narrative and collective experience. After studying at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and completing an MFA at Universität der Künste in Berlin, XuLü began exhibiting widely throughout Europe and Asia.

The artist deftly combines traditional ink techniques with technological interventions, often incorporating found materials and algorithmic processes to construct immersive environments. Through evocative color palettes and shifting forms, XuLü challenges perceptions of place and belonging, inviting viewers to confront the fluidity of cultural boundaries. Their work has been featured in venues such as the Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art, Kunsthalle Leipzig, and the Venice Biennale’s collateral events.

As an artist committed to dialogue across cultures, XuLü also regularly collaborates with musicians, writers, and architects, fostering interdisciplinary exchanges that inform an ever-expanding artistic practice.
