Vera Moro

Vera Moro is a contemporary artist from Belgium whose multidisciplinary practice deftly interweaves painting, sculpture, and installation to explore the interplay between memory, identity, and space. Born in Antwerp in 1986, she developed an early fascination with both vibrant color and tactile materials, influences that remain at the forefront of her work today. Moro studied fine arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, where she honed her unique visual language, characterized by gestural brushwork, layered textures, and immersive environments.

Drawing inspiration from both her Belgian heritage and extensive travels, she investigates the boundaries between figure and abstraction, often referencing the transient nature of human experience and the persistence of personal histories. Moro’s work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows throughout Europe, including notable appearances at Bozar in Brussels and the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Lille.
