Valody

Valody is an innovative visual artist whose work navigates the intersection of memory, material, and abstraction. Rooted in a multicultural upbringing between Europe and Latin America, Valody channels themes of displacement and belonging through a dynamic use of color and layered texture. After graduating with honors in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, Valody exhibited widely across Europe and the Americas, earning recognition for site-specific installations and mixed media paintings that evoke both personal and collective histories.

Drawing inspiration from urban environments, archival imagery, and tactile nostalgia, Valody’s art invites viewers to reconsider the boundaries between past and present, fragility and resilience. Currently based in Berlin, Valody continues to experiment with unconventional techniques, exploring the poetic possibilities of found objects, natural pigments, and digital processes, while fostering collaborations with writers, performers, and fellow visual artists in an ongoing quest to capture the flux of contemporary human experience.
