TYGAPAW

TYGAPAW is a Brooklyn-based Jamaican-American artist, DJ, and producer celebrated for their dynamic fusion of electronic music, activism, and cultural exploration. Born and raised in Mandeville, Jamaica, TYGAPAW moved to New York City, where they emerged as a pioneering force in the city’s underground club scene. Their music, which seamlessly blends techno, house, and dancehall, is deeply embedded in the exploration of identity, queerness, and the Black Caribbean experience.

TYGAPAW is the founder of Fake Accent, a platform and party that centers queer and trans people of color, and has released acclaimed works including "GET FREE," an album that tackles themes of resilience and community. Renowned for their energetic live performances and DJ sets, TYGAPAW continues to challenge norms within electronic music, advocating for inclusivity and visibility while pushing the boundaries of sound and social commentary.
