Tony Castello

Tony Castello is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, and installation, exploring themes of memory, urban environments, and cultural identity. Born in Buenos Aires in 1984 and now based in Barcelona, Castello draws inspiration from the layered histories and textures of city life, often weaving together found materials, bold color palettes, and intricate markings. His practice is rooted in a fascination with the interplay between personal narratives and collective memory, resulting in evocative pieces that invite viewers to consider their own relationships to place and time.

Castello graduated from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes and has exhibited internationally, including solo and group shows in Spain, Argentina, Germany, and the United States. His works are held in both private and public collections, and he has participated in several artist residencies, further informing his collaborative and ever-evolving approach.
