Tilman Riddelt

Tilman Riddelt is a contemporary visual artist whose practice explores the intersection of urban landscapes and abstract visual language. Born in Germany in 1972, Riddelt studied fine art at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg, where he began to cultivate his interest in the geometric forms and spatial ambiguities that have become central to his work. Through painting, sculpture, and installation, Riddelt constructs environments that invite viewers to reconsider the boundaries between architecture and art.

His compositions often feature a restrained color palette and precise, linear elements that evoke both minimalism and the architectural spaces of his upbringing. Over the past two decades, Riddelt has exhibited widely throughout Europe and North America, with solo and group exhibitions in Berlin, Paris, New York, and London. His works are included in several prominent public and private collections.

Riddelt currently lives and works in Berlin, where he continues to develop projects that investigate the built environment and the ways in which perception is shaped by context and form.
