Terzenbreaker

Terzenbreaker is a dynamic and genre-defying musical project founded in Berlin in 2016 by multi-instrumentalist and composer Simone Mertz. Blending elements of experimental electronic, post-rock, and neo-classical music, Terzenbreaker explores the boundaries between organic instrumentation and digital manipulation, creating immersive soundscapes that evoke both introspection and kinetic energy. Mertz’s background in jazz piano and her fascination with ambient textures inform Terzenbreaker’s unique sonic palette, often characterized by lush layers of synthesizers, intricate polyrhythms, and haunting, manipulated vocals.
