Tafkamp is a prominent Dutch DJ and producer known for his relentless energy in the world of underground techno and house. Hailing from Rotterdam, Tafkamp began his career in the early 2000s and quickly built a reputation for his raw, uncompromising sound, marked by driving rhythms, deep grooves, and unapologetic energy. He is perhaps best recognized by techno enthusiasts for his no-nonsense, vinyl-only DJ sets that span styles from classic Chicago house to pounding warehouse techno.

Active both as Tafkamp and under several aliases—including Smiling Corpse and co-founder of the legendary label of the same name—he has contributed significantly to the European electronic music scene. Tafkamp’s productions and remixes have been released on respected labels such as Clone, Mord, and his own Tafkamp’s Sound System, earning him dedicated followings both nationally and internationally. Over the years, he has shared the stage with some of the genre's biggest names and played at festivals and clubs across Europe, always championing the raw, dancefloor-focused ethos of his roots.
