Sudan Archives is the stage name of Brittney Denise Parks, a dynamic violinist, singer, songwriter, and producer hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, and now based in Los Angeles, California. Blending elements of R&B, electronic music, and West African folk traditions, Sudan Archives has garnered widespread acclaim for her innovative approach to the violin, weaving intricate beats and soulful vocals into her genre-defying soundscapes. Parks taught herself to play the violin by ear, drawing inspiration from Sudanese fiddlers and African rhythms, which she seamlessly merges with experimental beats and modern songwriting.
