Born Kurt Gluck, Submerged is an influential American DJ, producer, and label owner known for his groundbreaking contributions to the drum and bass and breakcore scenes. Emerging from the underground music circuit in the late 1990s, Submerged quickly gained acclaim for his intense, genre-bending sets and intricate production style, fusing hard-edged breakbeats with experimental sound design and dark atmospheres. As the founder of Ohm Resistance, Submerged established a platform for innovative electronic artists, releasing pivotal works from figures like Enduser, Bill Laswell, and Mick Harris.

His own discography includes collaborations with Bill Laswell and numerous solo releases that blur the boundaries between drum and bass, industrial, and avant-garde music. Notably, Submerged’s 2007 album “Beneath the Surface” and his work with the group Methods of Defiance display his penchant for sonic exploration and political consciousness.
