Sophie Xeon, known mononymously as SOPHIE, was a pioneering Scottish producer, singer, songwriter, and DJ, recognized for her innovative take on electronic and pop music. Beginning her career in 2013 with the playful single "Nothing More to Say," SOPHIE quickly became known for her hyperkinetic sound, characterized by metallic, synthetic textures and deconstructed club aesthetics. She was a central figure in the emerging PC Music collective and worked closely with influential acts such as Charli XCX, Vince Staples, Madonna, and Arca.

SOPHIE's productions, such as "Bipp," "Lemonade," and the debut album *OIL OF EVERY PEARL’S UN-INSIDES* (2018), received critical acclaim for pushing the boundaries of pop and electronic genres, blending harsh industrial noise with infectious melodies. A trailblazer for trans visibility in music, she openly explored themes of identity, gender, and transformation through both her art and public persona. Her DJ sets and live performances were celebrated for their energy, creativity, and fearless experimentalism, leaving a lasting impact on contemporary electronic and pop music culture until her untimely death in 2021.
