Silat Beksi

Silat Beksi is a contemporary artist from Ukraine whose work weaves together the traditional and the avant-garde, reflecting the complexity and vibrancy of her homeland. Growing up amidst the post-Soviet cultural renaissance of Kyiv, Beksi found inspiration in both the resilience of Ukrainian folk motifs and the stark atmospheres of urban existence. Her practice spans painting, digital media, and installation art, often focusing on themes of identity, memory, and transformation.

Beksi is widely recognized for her bold use of color and texture, which she employs to evoke emotional landscapes and social commentary.
