Serenda is an experimental visual artist and multi-instrumentalist whose work explores the interplay between synesthesia, memory, and urban landscapes. Born in 1992 in Naples, Italy, Serenda draws inspiration from the vibrant cacophony of city life and the meditative silence of natural spaces, blending these opposing worlds through layered canvases and immersive sound installations. After studying fine arts at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli, Serenda began exhibiting in local galleries in 2013, gradually expanding to international shows in Berlin, London, and New York.
The artist’s signature technique involves merging traditional painting with digital projection and field recordings, resulting in multisensory experiences that invite audiences to question the boundaries of perception. Serenda’s works have been featured in group exhibitions such as "Transience: Mapping Memory" at the Tate Modern (2019) and received recognition with the ArteViva Emerging Artist Prize in 2021. Collaborations with poets, choreographers, and environmental scientists further reflect Serenda’s commitment to cross-disciplinary practice and community engagement.
Now based in Berlin, Serenda continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression, creating works that dialogue with the environment and the fragile psychogeographies of modern life.
