Selice

Selice is an interdisciplinary artist whose work traverses painting, installation, and digital media, drawing inspiration from memory, urban landscapes, and the shifting boundaries between the personal and collective experience. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Selice pursued formal studies at the University of São Paulo’s School of Communications and Arts before relocating to Berlin, where she has established her studio practice since 2018. Her art is characterized by a vivid, often surreal aesthetic that incorporates elements from street art, found objects, and experimental sound, resulting in immersive environments that invite viewers to reflect on issues of migration, nostalgia, and identity.

Selice’s exhibitions, held in galleries throughout Latin America and Europe, have garnered both critical acclaim and grassroots support, particularly for her commitment to community engagement and collaborative projects. Between 2021 and 2023, she participated in the “Reclaiming Space” residency in Munich, developing participatory installations that explore themes of displacement and belonging, and her recent solo show, “Echoes of Transit,” at Kunsthaus Bethanien in Berlin, cemented her reputation as a rising force in contemporary art.
