Roll Deep

Roll Deep are a pioneering British grime collective hailing from East London, founded in 2002 by Wiley alongside fellow MCs such as Flowdan, Breeze, and Target. Emerging from the vibrant UK garage and pirate radio scene, the group quickly distinguished themselves through energetic live sets and innovative lyricism, cementing their influence in the early grime movement. Over the years, Roll Deep has served as a launching pad for some of the genre’s most acclaimed artists, including Dizzee Rascal, Skepta, and Tinchy Stryder, all of whom have roots in the collective.

Blending fierce MC battles with gritty production, Roll Deep gained mainstream attention with tracks like "The Avenue" and "Good Times," which both charted in the UK Top 40. Their albums, including "In at the Deep End" and "Rules and Regulations," helped define the evolving sound of London’s underground music in the 2000s, and their constant reinvention and collaborative approach have ensured their lasting legacy in British music culture.
