Quinn Blake is a multidisciplinary artist whose evocative works blur the boundaries between painting, sculpture, and installation. Born in 1988 in Portland, Oregon, Blake was raised amidst the Pacific Northwest’s lush landscapes, which continue to inform the organic motifs woven throughout their art. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2012, Blake established a practice rooted in material experimentation and conceptual inquiry.
Their work explores themes of memory, identity, and transformation, often employing found objects and textural layering to delve into personal and collective histories. Blake’s exhibitions span galleries and museums across the United States, including shows at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston and the Frye Art Museum in Seattle. Blake currently lives and works in Los Angeles, where they are also involved in community arts outreach and education, fostering creative dialogue and access within underserved communities.
