Pomboklap, a trailblazing force in the world of underground electronic music, burst onto the scene in the early 2010s with a distinct blend of bass-driven house, eclectic world rhythms, and playful sampling. Hailing from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Pomboklap—whose real name is Jasper van de Brink—cultivated an early fascination for vinyl records and DIY beatmaking. His formative years were spent digging through local record shops and experimenting with cassette tape loops, influences that still echo throughout his tracks.

What began as intimate sets at basement parties soon evolved into a globe-trotting career, with Pomboklap becoming a mainstay in European club circuits and festivals. Known for seamlessly fusing tropical percussion with gritty synth lines and humor-infused vocal chops, Pomboklap’s genre-bending productions have been featured on respected indie labels like Exploding Palms and Spicy Mango.
