Phonk D

Phonk D is a German DJ, producer, and label head whose infectious take on house and disco has placed him at the forefront of the modern European underground dance scene. Hailing from Mannheim, Phonk D (real name Markus Korn) first began attracting attention in the early 2010s with a string of highly playable, sample-driven tracks that blended raw funk, hip hop influences, and jazzy grooves with classic house music energy. Drawing inspiration from the golden eras of Chicago house and 90s hip hop, he has crafted a signature style marked by dusty drums, funky basslines, and clever sample flips.

In 2015, he founded Footjob Records, an imprint that quickly became a respected platform for both his own productions and for likeminded artists breathing new life into disco, funk, and soulful house. As a DJ, Phonk D is celebrated for his dynamic, floor-focused sets that capture the spirit of old-school crate digging and extended dancefloor sessions, leading to bookings across Germany, Europe, and further afield.
