Paul Kine

Paul Kine is a contemporary artist from Turkmenistan whose work stands at the intersection of traditional Central Asian heritage and contemporary visual expressions. Born in Ashgabat, Kine’s early exposure to the vibrant motifs of Turkmen carpets and the intricacies of tribal ornamentation deeply informed his aesthetic sensibilities. After studying fine arts at the Turkmen State University, he began to develop a distinctive style that fuses classical painting techniques with modern abstraction, often exploring themes of identity, memory, and cultural transformation.
