Patrick Ruprecht

Patrick Ruprecht is an Austrian artist whose work spans painting, drawing, installation, and performance. Born in 1989 in Upper Austria, Ruprecht studied at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, where he was mentored by Christian Ludwig Attersee. His practice is characterized by a witty, energetic approach to figuration, frequently combining surreal, cartoonish motifs with bold colors and unexpected juxtapositions.

Ruprecht’s artworks often examine themes such as play, absurdity, and the everyday, blending high art references with visual languages drawn from comics and folk traditions. He has exhibited at numerous galleries and institutions across Europe, including solo and group shows in Vienna, Linz, and Berlin, and his works are held in several public and private collections.
