Ossia, the alias of Daniel Davies, is a Bristol-based DJ, producer, and label head known for his deep explorations into the outer reaches of experimental dub, techno, and leftfield electronic music. A key figure in the city’s fertile underground scene, Ossia is closely linked with the collective Young Echo, as well as the influential labels Blackest Ever Black, Berceuse Heroique, and most notably, his own imprint, Peng Sound. His productions weave a distinct soundworld of menacing low-end frequencies, industrial sonics, and meditative dub textures, reflecting both Bristol’s sound system heritage and a restless taste for sonic innovation.
