OMRITA

OMRITA is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture, and installation, exploring the intersections between memory, identity, and material transformation. Raised between Mumbai and London, OMRITA’s work is informed by a hybrid sense of belonging and curiosity about the tactile traces of history. Through layered surfaces, reclaimed objects, and experimental techniques, OMRITA investigates how personal and collective stories can be encoded within matter.

Their pieces often incorporate organic forms, found ephemera, and subtle symbolism, evoking the tension between ephemerality and permanence. OMRITA has exhibited in group and solo shows internationally, including recent projects in Berlin and New York, and their work is held in several private collections. Beyond the studio, OMRITA is a committed community arts organizer and facilitator, weaving collaborative processes into their practice to foster dialogue and connection across cultural boundaries.
