Nur Jaber is a Lebanese-born, Berlin-based DJ, producer, and live performer known for her emotionally charged and powerful approach to techno. Growing up in Beirut, Jaber was immersed in a musical environment from a young age, originally studying drumming and piano before discovering electronic music. Her multicultural background and classical training have profoundly influenced her sound, which is characterized by driving rhythms, haunting melodies, and an undercurrent of vulnerability.
After relocating to Berlin, Nur quickly made a name for herself in the city’s underground techno scene, becoming a resident at the legendary club, Bassiani, in Tbilisi, and performing at globally recognized venues such as Berghain and Tresor. Her DJ sets and live performances are celebrated for their intensity, emotive depth, and storytelling quality, often blurring the boundaries between techno, industrial, and experimental music. As a producer, Nur Jaber has released critically acclaimed EPs and albums on her own imprint, OSF (Open Sound Foundation), including "If Only – A State of Peace," which explores themes of conflict, healing, and hope.
Her work often reflects her experiences growing up during the Lebanese Civil War, using music as a medium for processing personal and collective trauma. Through her artistry and presence, Nur Jaber has become a prominent voice for representation and diversity within electronic music, using her platform to advocate for mental health awareness and to connect with communities worldwide through the universal language of sound.
