Nima Gorji

Nima Gorji was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1972. He moved to Denmark at the age of 13, escaping the political unrest in his home country. Settling in Copenhagen, Nima soon found his way into the vibrant local music scene, developing an early fascination with electronic music that would define his career.

By the early 1990s, he began DJing at numerous underground parties and clubs in Copenhagen, quickly earning a reputation for his diverse taste and impeccable selection. His unique blend of deep, groovy house, and minimal techno marked him out amongst his peers, and Nima became a resident DJ at the now legendary Club Rust. Here, he refined his craft and laid the foundation for his production career.

In the early 2000s, Nima’s ambitions took him to Ibiza, the global heart of electronic music, where he became a fixture at celebrated venues such as Space, Privilege, and Underground. Nima Gorji’s productions began turning heads, leading to releases on respected labels including Moan, Bondage Music, and his own imprint Welt Recordings, founded in 2007. Influenced by both house and techno, his tracks are characterised by infectious rhythms, hypnotic grooves, and subtle melodies—elements that have made him a favourite among clubbers and fellow DJs alike.

Throughout his career, Nima has toured extensively, performing at top clubs and festivals across Europe, South America, and Asia. He has continued to shape the sound of the dance floor, both as a DJ and as a producer, and is recognised for his dedication to the pure essence of underground dance music. Today, Nima Gorji lives between Ibiza and Berlin, constantly evolving his style while maintaining a strong connection to his musical roots.
