Minseok Kim is a contemporary artist from South Korea whose multidisciplinary practice spans sculpture, installation, and painting. Born in Seoul, Kim developed an early interest in the interplay between traditional Korean aesthetics and modern urban life. After earning his BFA from Hongik University, he went on to study at the Royal College of Art in London, where he refined his conceptual approach and technical skills.
Kim’s work explores themes of memory, impermanence, and the tension between nature and industry, often incorporating found materials and everyday objects into his pieces. He has exhibited widely in both Korea and internationally, with solo and group shows at institutions such as the Seoul Museum of Art, Kukje Gallery, and the Saatchi Gallery. Minseok Kim’s art is marked by subtle yet powerful juxtapositions, inviting viewers to reflect on the fragile beauty within the chaos of contemporary existence.
Currently based in Seoul, he continues to create thought-provoking works that challenge perceptions and celebrate the resilience of the human spirit.
