Born in Budapest, Hungary, Maté began his journey into the world of music through classical piano training before quickly gravitating toward electronic sounds. Drawing inspiration from Eastern European folk music and the global underground dance scene, Maté honed a style that weaves melodic house, deep techno, and elements of organic electronica into immersive DJ sets. Moving to Berlin in his early twenties, Maté became a fixture in the city’s thriving club scene, performing at venues such as Kater Blau and ://about blank, as well as international festivals including Sunwaves and Melt!.

His ability to blend subtle, emotive harmonies with pulsating rhythms earned him a diverse following and regular appearances alongside celebrated artists. Maté’s releases on respected labels like Innervisions and TAU have charted on digital platforms and gained support from tastemaker DJs around the world.
