Maki Polne is a contemporary artist from Poland known for her evocative exploration of memory, landscape, and identity through mixed media. Drawing inspiration from the shifting terrains of her homeland and the layered histories embedded in Polish culture, Polne’s work often combines drawing, painting, and found objects to construct visual narratives that blur the boundaries between personal experience and collective memory. After receiving formal training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, she developed a distinct style marked by delicate linework, muted color palettes, and a subtle interplay between abstraction and figuration.
Her installations and works on paper have been exhibited in galleries throughout Poland and across Europe, earning her critical recognition for their poetic sensibility and conceptual depth. Polne continues to live and work in Poland, where she remains an active participant in the country’s dynamic contemporary art scene.
