Mahe

Mahe is a contemporary visual artist known for her evocative use of color, texture, and symbolism to explore themes of identity, transition, and memory. Born in 1991 in Mumbai, India, Mahe developed a keen interest in storytelling and aesthetics at an early age, often drawing inspiration from the vibrant landscapes and diverse communities of her hometown. After studying Fine Arts at Sir J.

J. School of Art, she began to merge traditional Indian motifs with modern techniques, creating a distinctive style that bridges Eastern and Western artistic sensibilities. Her work encompasses painting, mixed media, and installation, and has been exhibited in galleries throughout India and internationally, including shows in London, Berlin, and New York.

Through her art, Mahe delves into the emotional complexity of diaspora experiences and the interplay between heritage and innovation. She currently lives and works in Berlin, where she continues to push the boundaries of contemporary art while mentoring emerging artists and actively participating in cross-cultural collaborations.
