Mágafas

Mágafas is an innovative multidisciplinary artist whose practice bridges visual art, performance, and social commentary. Born in Mexico City in 1996, Mágafas draws deeply on personal and collective histories, integrating elements of indigenous symbolism, urban aesthetics, and contemporary struggles into their work. After studying fine arts at the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado “La Esmeralda,” Mágafas steadily cultivated a unique visual language marked by intricate line work, vibrant color palettes, and an unmistakable narrative vibrancy.

Their installations and mural projects—often collaborative and site-specific—explore themes of identity, migration, and resilience, inviting viewers to question and reshape their perceptions of place and self.
