LYZZA

Born in Brazil and raised in the Netherlands, LYZZA is a boundary-pushing DJ, producer, and vocalist known for her experimental blend of club, pop, and avant-electronic music. Emerging from the underground ballroom scene in Amsterdam, she quickly established herself as a force in Europe’s alternative nightlife, infusing her sets with influences ranging from baile funk and reggaeton to hyperpop and deconstructed club. LYZZA released her debut EP, “Powerplay,” in 2017, followed by the critically acclaimed “Imposter” (2018), and continued to refine her sound with the conceptually rich mixtape “Defiance” (2020).

Her 2022 album “MOSQUITO” garnered international attention for its introspective songwriting and genre-defying production, drawing praise from outlets including Pitchfork and The FADER. Beyond her solo work, LYZZA has played revered clubs and festivals such as Berghain, CTM Festival, and Sónar, and has collaborated with artists like La Zowi, LSDXOXO, and Planningtorock. As an openly queer woman of color, she champions inclusion and vulnerability within the dance music community, curating events and radio shows that amplify underrepresented voices.
