Luke Humbles

Luke Humbles is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of memory, landscape, and personal identity through painting, installation, and digital media. Born in 1989 in Oxfordshire, UK, Humbles developed an early appreciation for the subtleties of natural light and rural environments, which continue to inform his visual vocabulary. After completing a BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London, in 2011, he went on to exhibit his work in both group and solo exhibitions across the UK and Europe, earning recognition for his nuanced approach to color and texture.

Humbles’ practice is rooted in process and experimentation, drawing inspiration from both traditional painting techniques and emergent digital processes. His recent projects investigate how place and memory intertwine, often inviting viewers into immersive environments that evoke both nostalgia and discovery. Humbles currently lives and works in London, where he balances his artistic practice with collaborative community-based projects aimed at expanding access to the arts.
