Lixi

Lixi is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of memory, identity, and transformation through an innovative blend of visual art, sound, and performance. Born in 1992 in Taipei and currently based in Berlin, Lixi creates immersive experiences that draw from personal narratives, folklore, and urban environments, employing materials such as found objects, digital media, and traditional painting techniques. After studying fine arts at Goldsmiths, University of London, Lixi began exhibiting internationally, with solo and group shows in cities such as London, Tokyo, and New York.

Their work frequently interrogates notions of belonging and displacement, manifesting in haunting installations and ethereal soundscapes that invite viewers into liminal worlds. Lixi’s compelling artistic voice has earned them residencies at prestigious institutions such as the Akademie Schloss Solitude and the Tokyo Arts and Space, as well as features in publications including ArtAsiaPacific and Frieze. Through a constantly evolving practice, Lixi continues to challenge boundaries and inspire nuanced dialogues about identity and perception in contemporary art.
